When you find yourself in a slump, it is important to alter your routine. Post competition blunders are inevitable in my world. The rise and fall of hormone levels, body fat, and over indulging in chocolatey-goodness is almost guaranteed to happen. Sometimes there is a self-pity period before my body levels stabilize to where I feel healthy and fit.

Due to the fact I work in a gym, train in a gym, and pretty much eat in a gym, is starting to drive me crazy! Completing three-a-day workouts for the past 3 months has left me stir crazy and unmotivated. So…. I took it upon myself to switch up my routine and sell my soul to the devil. Not really, but I did join Crossfit. I am excited and re-motivated to try something completely new. The workouts are already written, the diet is already set, and all I have do is bring the determination to kick ass! I will be part of a team again! The workouts are very tough, so I plan on tracking my progress throughout these three months of training. I have not olympic lifted since I played Division I Softball for Syracuse University. Let’s just say, I might be a little rusty on my clean and jerk.

When I get my body fat tested, I am anxious to see how fast I drop with these hardcore lifts. Maybe I can even use Crossfit to train for my next Figure Competition, who knows!? Wish me luck and follow my new recipe for Eggplant-Parm Burgers!
